Raised between the high paced energy of New York City and the sun-soaked landscapes of Miami, Yaemi Matias was shaped by two worlds and deeply rooted in her Dominican Republic heritage. In her family, nourishment was never separate from daily life. Meals were prepared with fresh, whole foods and herbs, stories were shared around colorful tables, and connection was understood as an expression of love.

Yet alongside those traditions, she witnessed the painful reality of loved ones who lacked the knowledge, resources, or support to explore different paths to wellness. This planted a quiet but persistent question within her: What else is possible when it comes to natural healing?

Surrounded by Miami's lush landscapes and slower rhythms, she began searching for answers. Drawn to holistic philosophies and ancient healing traditions, she found herself captivated by Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its understanding of the body as an interconnected system—where physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are inseparable—felt deeply familiar. It reflected the wisdom she had known all along.

When she returned to New York City, that curiosity transformed into purpose. While working at an acupuncture clinic, she witnessed profound transformations unfold day after day. Patients arrived burdened by pain, stress, and exhaustion, and gradually rediscovered ease, vitality, and a deeper connection to themselves. Seeing the medicine work—not in books, but in real lives—awakened something undeniable. Yaemi knew she had found her calling.

She went on to earn her Master of Science in Acupuncture and Bachelor of Professional Studies in Health Science from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through extensive clinical training, including experience in hospital settings, she developed an integrative and evidence-informed approach that bridges ancient wisdom with modern healthcare.

Her path of learning, however, has extended far beyond the classroom. Yaemi traveled to Nepal and Indonesia, where she immersed herself in the study of energy healing and hands-on therapeutic practices under the guidance of a master practitioner. Beneath the Indonesian skies, she cultivated a deeper sensitivity to the body's energetic landscape and discovered an even greater appreciation for the power of presence in the healing process.

What she learned there became woven into her practice. It shaped the way she listens, the way she holds space, and the way she perceives the subtle language of the body. For Yaemi, education is a lifelong devotion. She believes the best healers remain students forever, continually deepening their understanding through every patient encounter, every quiet moment of awareness, and every opportunity to serve.

Today, Yaemi's work is rooted in the belief that healing is not about fixing what is broken, but creating the conditions for the body to remember its innate capacity for balance. She approaches each treatment with compassion, curiosity, and reverence for the uniqueness of every individual who walks through her door.

Whether you are seeking relief from pain, support through life's transitions, or simply a space to reconnect with yourself, Yaemi is honored to walk alongside you. Her intention is to offer more than a treatment—to create a sanctuary where you feel heard, held, and empowered in your healing journey. Together, you can slow down, listen to the wisdom within, and cultivate a deeper sense of harmony, vitality, and well-being.
